Man sentenced to time served on drug charges

A Portersville man was sentenced Thursday to time served followed by three years of supervised release for his conviction on drug charges in U.S. District Court in Pittsburgh.

Senior U.S. District Judge Arthur J. Schwab sentenced Ray Chrzanowski, 53, of Heinz Camp Road, to three years’ supervised release for his convictions on charges of conspiracy to distribute crack cocaine, conspiracy to distribute heroin and conspiracy to distribute cocaine, according to Scott W. Brady, U.S. attorney for the Western District of Pennsylvania.

In 2017, the FBI and the federal Drug Enforcement Administration initiated a wiretap investigation, primarily targeting the GBK street gang and drug trafficking in an area known as the Greenway Projects, located in the West End of Pittsburgh.

The wiretap investigation revealed that from November 2017 through June 2018, Chrzanowski conspired to distribute quantities of crack cocaine, heroin and cocaine, Brady said.
