FAIRVIEW TWP, Mercer County — Three Greenville men are being held without bail in the shooting death of a 19-year-old man early Thursday morning.

Zackary Cutshall of Fredonia was killed in an apparent robbery gone wrong. He was pronounced dead in an office parking lot of a Route 19 business in Fairview Township, authorities said.

Charged with second-degree murder are Jacob W. Barger, 20, and Domenick J. Heasley, 23. The third defendant, Seth L. Hamilton, 18, is charged with a top count of homicide.

Additionally, Barger and Heasley are both charged with robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery.

Hamilton also is charged with two counts of aggravated assault, possession of a firearm without a conceal carry license, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, and possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

The state police major case team in Butler is investigating the shooting that happened about 1 a.m.

Cutshall was found dead in the parking lot of a chiropractic office on Route 19. He was pronounced dead at 2:15 a.m. by Dr. David Hoyt, Mercer County deputy coroner, according to the coroner's office. He died of a gunshot wound to the neck and his death was ruled a homicide.

But investigators believe the teenager was shot while riding in a car not far from where his body was found. Afterward the small, two-door car was driven, possibly by one of the suspects, to the gravel parking lot.

“The victim got out of the vehicle and fell down,” Mercer County District Attorney Miles Karlson said.

A forensic pathologist was scheduled to perform an autopsy Friday morning in Erie.

The car was recovered in the same parking lot where the victim was found. The rear window had been shattered, apparently by gunfire, Karlson said.

Preliminary hearings for the defendants are set for Nov. 6.
