Cecelia M. Bronder
Cecelia M. Bronder, 78, of North Monroe Street, died Sept. 27 at her home.
She was born April 24, 1930, in Turtle Creek, a daughter of the late Joseph F. and Stella McCollough Bolte.
Cecelia was a 1948 graduate of Butler High School. She worked as a nurse's aide at the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Butler for 13 years until her retirement in 1990. Prior to her employment at Sunnyview, she had worked at the Butler Hospital and as a seamstress for the John Honse Co. in Butler. While working at Sunnyview, she was the chief shop steward of the Service Employees Service Union.
During her life, Cecelia was a volunteer for the March of Dimes and the Heart Association. She was also a blood donor for the Red Cross and was the former president of the mothers auxiliary of Boy Scout Troop 3 in Butler. She was an avid league bowler and card club player. She also loved spending time with her grandson, Forrest.
She was a member of the St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Butler.
Her husband, Charles J. "Chan" Bronder, whom she married Jan. 8, 1951, preceded her in death Jan. 28, 1982. A brother, John Bolte, also preceded her.
Surviving are five children and their spouses, Neal and Brenda Bronder of Columbus, Ohio, Karen and Biff Healy of West Virginia, Mary Jane Bronder of Butler, June and Joe Tray of Florida and Carl and Jill Bronder of Lancaster; six brothers, Joseph Bolte of Massachusetts, George Bolte of Cabot, Vincent Bolte of Arkansas, Daniel Bolte of Butler, Henry Bolte of Massachusetts and Harold Bolte of Arkansas; five sisters, Betty Rago, Virginia Smith, Nancy Kradel, Rita Rozic and Leona Shearer, all of Butler; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
<B>BRONDER </B>— There was no public visitation. Private interment took place Sept. 30 at St. Peter Cemetery. A memorial service for Cecelia M. Bronder, who died Saturday, Sept. 27, 2008, is planned for later.Funeral arrangements were handled by the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, and information also is available at www.geibelfuneralhome.com.
