Four Butler County Family YMCA swimmers earned district championships at Indiana (Pa.) University last weekend.

Camryn Forbes won titles in the prep girls 50-yard butterfly and 50-yard backstroke, setting a team record of 30.42 seconds in the latter event.

Chadd Cummings won a district crown in the prep boys 50-yard breaststroke and set a team record of 56.00 seconds in the 100-yard freestyle.

Max Merhaut claimed a district title in the cadet boys 100-yard individual medley and Sevryn Napora won in the cadet boys 50-yard breaststroke.

Butler finished fifth overall out of 42 teams in the west. The girls team took sixth overall, the boys third. Thirteen of Butler's 16 relays qualified for the state meet, as did 35 of 96 individual swimmers.

The YMCA State Swimming Championships are Saturday and Sunday at Penn State.
