Damian Pickett scored two rushing touchdowns in the first half to lead Butler City (2-1) to a 22-0 victory over Meridian (1-2) in Butler Area Midget Football League action Saturday.

Pickett scored from six yards out in the first quarter before scoring the two-point conversion and adding a 5-yard score in the second quarter.

Brandon Hildebrand's two-point conversion run made it 16-0 at halftime.

Isaiah DeVaughn tallied an insurance score in the fourth quarter when he broke away for a 70-yard run.

Center Township 12, East Butler 6 — Tim Vernick's 4-yard run in the first quarter and Lucas Dubyak's 25-yarder in the fourth quarter helped the Rams to improve to 3-0 on the season.The Bulldogs (0-3) got their lone score in the fourth quarter when quarterback Jeremy Moorhead scored on a keeper from 15 yards out.This Saturday, Butler City will face Center Township at 5 p.m. followed by Meridian and East Butler at 7.
