Mark Gross scored on a 30-yard quarterback keeper in the first quarter to stake the Butler junior high football team to a 6-0 lead, but North Allegheny Carson went on to post a 12-6 victory Wednesday.
Butler drove to the NA 4-yard line before time expired.
Jeremy Hanford had an interception while Cody Osley was named Special Teams Player of the Game.
Butler will play its first home game of the season at 7 p.m. Thursday against North Allegheny Ingomar.
