Freeport Theatre Festival’s 30th summer season is opening with performances of “Cauldron of Steel,” a historical drama about the immigrants who helped build America, written and directed by Rennick Steele, through Sunday. Shows start at 7 p.m. Friday through Sunday at the festival on the Steele Farm, 2498 White Cloud Road, two miles south of Freeport off Route 356 in Allegheny Township, Westmoreland County.
