Mars man accused of holding knife to woman’s throat pleads guilty to disorderly conduct

A Mars man accused of holding a knife to a woman’s throat had two felonies and two misdemeanors dismissed at a Wednesday, July 8, preliminary hearing after completing mental health treatment.

Zachary Thomas Conner, 22, pleaded guilty to summary disorderly conduct before District Judge Amy Marcinkiewicz after completing 30 days of inpatient treatment and 30 days of recovery living treatment.

His two felony counts of aggravated assault and one misdemeanor count each of reckless endangerment and terroristic threats were dismissed. He was charged with the offenses April 20 by Adams Township police.

Police said Conner got into an argument with the woman while driving down the road and when the woman pulled up to a residence, Conner held a knife to her throat.

Conner remains in treatment, according to a source familiar with the matter.
