2:16 p.m. Sunday — Jackilyn J. Porter, 34, was arrested after she caused a disturbance at her West Wayne Street home. Police said Porter smashed out a front window at the home and locked out her live-in boyfriend.Porter drove away before police got there. Butler Township police were called to assist and stopped the suspect's car on Chestnut Street. Officers searched her and found a suspected crack pipe, according to police.She is charged with disorderly conduct, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving with a suspended license.1:24 p.m. Saturday — Shari Lu Sorce, 49, of Jefferson Township was arrested after allegedly shoplifting $85 in merchandise from the Kmart store in Pullman Square. Police said Sorce, who has two prior shoplifting arrests, is charged with felony retail theft. The defendant, who is suspected of a probation violation, was placed in the Butler County Prison.Wednesday — A boy's bicycle was reported stolen from the yard of a home in the 300 block of Carbon Street. The dark green, Mongoose BMX-style bike was taken between March 25 and Wednesday.7:08 p.m. March 26 — William Lee Moran, 19, of Butler allegedly stole a purse at an apartment on West New Castle Street. The purse's owner, an 18-year-old Knox, Clarion County, woman, told police that she saw Moran take the purse, run out of the apartment and ride away on a bike. The purse reportedly contained $100, jewelry and other items.Officers searched for but were unable to immediately find the suspect. He is charged with theft and receiving stolen property.

Sunday — An unknown thief stole a blue, Diamondback Merona sport hybrid bicycle that was behind an apartment on Cobblestone Lane in Slippery Rock Township. The men's bike, valued at $379, was taken between 8 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. Sunday.7:13 p.m. Saturday — Kenneth A. Kline, 39, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at Route 68 and Kriess Road in Connoquenessing Township.6:01 p.m. Saturday — Cars driven by Bryanna M. Jay, 18, of Girard, Ohio, and David J. Tedeski, 29, of Hilliards collided at West Jefferson and South Washington streets in Butler. Police said Jay was cited for making an improper left turn.4:15 p.m. Saturday — A car driven by Garrett E. Hans, 17, of Butler and a sport utility vehicle driven by Stephen D. Stroup, 33, of Chicora collided at Grant and Madison avenues. The collision spun into a fire hydrant. Police said Hans is charged with a stop sign violation.Saturday — An unknown thief made a clean getaway after stealing a vacuum cleaner from a home on Moraine Drive in Muddy Creek Township. The Shark Navigator Lift Away model vacuum was taken Friday or Saturday.Friday — Someone siphoned about 5 gallons of gasoline from a state Department of Transportation truck in the PennDOT parking lot on Industrial Drive West in Middlesex Township. The gas was stolen between 6 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday.Wednesday — Three gas cans were stolen from a shed in a break-in at a 12th Street home in East Butler. The stolen property is valued at $100.2:55 a.m. March 25 — Daniel L. Steele, 21, of Mars was hurt when the car he was driving crashed into a utility pole before rolling onto its roof along Pittsburgh Street, just west of Crowe Avenue in Mars. Steele, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh with moderate injuries. Police said he was cited for a lane violation.

10:15 a.m. Friday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Melanie J. Fussell, 33, of Mercer and a pickup truck driven by Scott B. Knouse, 44, of Grove City collided at Center Street Extension and Irishtown roads. Police said Fussell was cited for failing to yield to other traffic.Wednesday — Emily McCann, no age given, of Grove City is accused of taking several items from Country Market in Grove City without paying. Police said McCann faces a charge of retail theft.

Friday — A purse was stolen from a car parked in the area of Frew Mill Road and Kennedy Mill in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County. The brown and gold Coach brand purse, valued at $300, was taken between 2:30 and 3:45 p.m.
