Mark Gross had 19 points and Alec Geibel had 13 as the Butler ninth-grade boys basketball team defeated Central Catholic 57-41 on Tuesday.

Rich Marnic and Cory Wheeler had 11 and 10 points, respectively, for Butler (5-1).

• Damien Pickett scored 14 points and Darrien Pickett had 13 points as the Butler seventh-grade White boys basketball team defeated Carson 38-35.

Nathan Kibbie led a strong defensive effort for Butler (3-2).

• Eric Hindman scored 23 points and Andrew Paterno had 18 as the Butler eighth-grade White (3-2) defeated Carson, 51-42.
