Grammy Award-winning cellist and composer Eugene Friesen will perform solo at 7 p.m. Sept. 13 at the Harmony Underground. A creative cello workshop with Friesen and the group Cello Fury will be conducted from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 14. Call 412-867-1816 for cost and registration, or visit harmonymuseum.org. Additionally, an evening concert called Friesen, Fury and New Friends will begin at 7 p.m. Sept. 14 at the Harmonist Barn. And Friesen will be playing at 10 a.m. Sept. 15 at the Mennonite Meeting House. The events are sponsored by Harmony Museum with support from its Ruch Memorial Music Fund.

Lunchtime concerts, hosted by the Butler County Symphony Association, take place at noon Fridays through Sept. 27, sometimes in the symphony office at 259 S. Main St. and sometimes in Diamond Park, across from the Butler County Courthouse on Main Street. Scheduled for Friday is The Particles, blues/folk rock, in the BCSO office. Admission is free.
