Satina Rahiser, 88, of Evans City died early Thursday morning at her home.

Born Dec. 23, 1920, in Evans City, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Virginia (Rossi) Capella.

Mrs. Rahiser was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Evans City for more than 80 years. She also was a member of the Couples and the Ladies bowling leagues in Evans City.

Mrs. Rahiser especially enjoyed the "Monday Night Special" at her home with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Al Rahiser of Evans City; a son, Ed Rahiser and his wife, Fae, of Connoquenessing; a daughter, Julia Knauff and her husband, Ron, of Evans City; a brother, Joe Capella of Evans City; a sister, Mary McCarty of Arizona; two sisters-in-law, Gene Bayan of Lititz and Nancie Johnson of Coraopolis; three grandchildren, Kyle Knauff, Tiffany Helfrich and Kevin Rahiser; three great-grandchildren, Hannah Knauff, Leah Knauff and Cadin Helfrich; and five nieces and four nephews.

She was preceded in death by three sisters, Arkavia Capella, Olga Groves and Josephine Amerata; a brother, Cozy Capella; and her stepfather, Sam Amerata.

<B>RAHISER</B> — Friends of Satina Rahiser, who died Thursday, Aug. 20, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at <B>Boylan Funeral Home Inc.</B>, 116 E. Main St., Evans City. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Robert Peterson officiating.
