12:36 p.m. Tuesday — Jessica Davis, 24, of Harrisville was caught allegedly shoplifting at the Wal-Mart in Butler Commons. Davis, who was previously barred from the store, is charged with retail theft and trespass.

Wednesday — Brant Errera, 19, of Grove City was arrested on charges that he sexually assaulted a 14-year-old girl at his Monroe Street home in April.Errera was arraigned on charges of statutory sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault, indecent assault, corruption of minors, furnishing alcohol to minors and underage drinking. He is in Mercer County Jail on $10,000 bail.On Monday, police arrested Russell Ferguson, 18, of Grove City on charges he assaulted a different 14-year-old girl at Errera's home. Ferguson is charged with statutory sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault, indecent assault and corruption of minors. He is free on $50,000 unsecured bail.11:50 a.m. Tuesday — Damitri F. Seelbaugh, 18, of Grove City is accused of attempting to cash a forged check at Grove City Credit Union. That check was previously reported stolen in a burglary at a home on McConnell Street.Seelbaugh is charged with forgery, attempted theft by deception and receiving stolen property.Tuesday — A vandal or vandals painted graffiti on commercial buildings at 124 and 126 S. Center St. Anyone having information is asked to call police at 724-458-7925.

Wednesday — Police reported they are investigating the recent burglaries of two homes in the 1100 and 1200 blocks of Enterprise Road in Pine Township. Coffee cans full of coins totaling about $400 were taken in one of the break-ins around 2 p.m. Monday.In the other break-in that happened between June 3 and Saturday, a generator and a weed trimmer were stolen from a garage,Monday — A would-be burglar tried to force open at least one door and to pry open a window between Friday and Monday at the Worth Township Building on Kilgore Road in Mercer County. Several door locks were damaged but no entry was made.
