PENN TWP — A passenger in an Uber vehicle was arrested after a traffic stop on Route 8 early this morning for allegedly carrying 594 heroin packets.

Brandon DeVaughn McCaskill, 22, of Duquesne, who was the back seat passenger in the rental vehicle from Missouri, also is accused of carrying multiple cellular phones, a loaded gun and cash.

State police report Guy Devon Wallar Jr., 20, of Pittsburgh, the front seat passenger, was carrying multiple phones and a significant amount of cash at the 12:56 a.m. stop.

Both men were jailed in the Butler County Prison and were awaiting arraignment for numerous felony charges this morning.

Police did not list the name of the Uber driver, who received a traffic citation.
