After reading the article about Franklin Township supervisors turning down the fire department, I felt it necessary to respond.

Franklin Township ALWAYS supported the Prospect-Franklin Township Volunteer Fire Department with donations for fire equipment, truck maintenance, and radios whenever the request was made.

The fire department requested a 2 mill fire tax. This would give the fire department a steady and guaranteed flow of income. As a township supervisor, I supported this 2 mill fire tax that will provide the fire department an estimated $54,000 of revenue in 2022.

Now a former township supervisor and current resident that supports the fire department, I wanted to include these details to set the record straight.
