Leopold signage updated
ZELIENOPLE — The names have changed, but the operations remain the same at the Leopold facilities, according to company officials.
People driving through the borough this week may have noticed the ITT signs have been removed from the Leopold buildings and replaced by Xylem.
That’s because in October, Xylem completed its spinoff from ITT, and began a new chapter as a global water technology company with operations in more than 150 countries.
The two Leopold facilities in Zelienople, that had previously operated under ITT, now are under Xylem Water Solutions Leopold.
A company spokesman said only the names have changed on the buildings to reflect the new corporation.
The two facilities are at West Beaver and South Division streets.
Leopold manufactures and sells filtration, sludge control, monitoring and controls for the water and wastewater treatment operations. It serves primarily municipal and industrial water and wastewater treatment facilities.
In 2006, ITT had acquired the former F.B. Leopold before Xylem took over operations.
