5:51 a.m. Thursday — One person was seriously injured when a car crashed into a utility pole along Morton Avenue. The crash happened when the 2003 Ford Crown Victoria driven by Robert J. Stock, 81, of Butler went off the road and hit the pole.Butler firefighters had to extricate Stock's passenger, 72-year-old Charles Stock of Chester, Pa., who was trapped in the car. An ambulance later took him to Butler Memorial Hospital for treatment of undisclosed injuries.Robert Stock told police he was southbound on Morton Avenue when he lost control of his car on ice. Officers checked the area but found no icy spots or skid marks on the road, according to a police report.7:35 a.m. Wednesday — A car driven by Todd A. Reed, 32, of Summit Township struck a parked car after hitting an ice patch on West Penn Street. Police said Reed was cited for driving too fast for conditions.

3:15 a.m. today — At least one person was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with unknown injuries after a vehicle went off Route 68 near Erasers Go Kart Park and crashed in Connoquenessing Township. The Connoquenessing Volunteer Fire Department and Butler Ambulance Service were called to assist police.Police did not immediately issue a report and no other information was available.3:30 p.m. Monday — One person was hurt when a car driven by Frederick J. Tasota, 58, of Bessemer, Lawrence County, crashed into an embankment on Route 422 just east of the South Shore exit in Muddy Creek Township. Tasota's passenger, Cynthia M. Zeh, 58, of Bessemer, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered a minor injury.Monday — An unknown would-be thief tried to steal four different vehicles in the lot at Quality Car Sales on North Main Street Extension in Center Township. The attempted theft happened between Saturday and Monday.10:37 p.m. Dec. 22 — Matthew J. Kovocovsky, 40, of West Sunbury was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his vehicle struck several trees along Route 308 south of Mahood Road in Clay Township.
