6 a.m. Thursday — Cars driven by Dawnetta L. Mentzer, 46, of Slippery Rock and James G. Weiland, 54, of Oakland Township collided at South Main and West Wayne streets. Mentzer suffered minor injuries.

1:06 a.m. Sunday — Henry Fowler, 68, and Shirley Fowler, 63, both of Butler, were hurt when their car collided with a garbage truck on Route 8 at Hansen Avenue. Both Fowlers were taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with unknown injuries.Henry Fowler, the driver of the car, faces tickets for unspecified traffic violations. Harold Hetrick, 55, of Butler was driving the truck.1:42 a.m. Saturday — George Beatrice, 57, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on the West New Castle Street hill. Police also cited Beatrice for speeding.

5:10 p.m. Monday — Two women were hurt in a rear-end collision on Route 422 at the Interstate 79 northbound on-ramp in Muddy Creek Township. The crash happened when a car driven by Robin L. Kelly, 62, of Merritt Island, Fla., struck the back of a sport utility vehicle driven by MaryAnn Nye, 39, of Portersville.Kelly and Nye, who both were wearing seat belts, suffered moderate head, neck and back injuries. Kelly faces tickets for careless driving and following too closely to another vehicle.2:27 p.m. Monday — Michael L. Webb, 41, of Harmony was hurt when a pickup truck rear-ended the van he was driving on Route 68 in front of the Butler Farm Market in Connoquenessing Township. John Osche, 38, of Lyndora was driving the pickup.Webb, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries. Osche was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.Monday — Police reported they are investigating the theft of jewelry from a home on Muddy Creek Drive in Brady Township. The jewelry was taken during the past several months. Police did not identify the suspected thief.

Saturday — A thief stole a generator from a home on Bela Road in Toby Township. The generator, valued at $850, was taken between Thursday and Saturday.
