9:46 p.m. Thursday — Timothy M. Whitling, 24, of Butler was charged with theft by unlawful taking and false reports to law enforcement after he allegedly stole a bicycle trailer valued at $150 belonging to Jonathon Blackwell of Butler, and then allegedly blamed the theft on his own nephew.

2:19 a.m. Thursday — Timothy McGuire, 51, of Lyndora was charged with possessing a prohibited offensive weapon, driving under suspension and driving without insurance following a traffic stop along South Duffy Road.

1:47 p.m. Thursday — A vehicle driven by Edith McClain, 78, of Grove City struck a parked car belonging to Guenter Eickmann, 82, of Grove City in front of the post office along East Pine Street. No one was injured.

2 a.m. Friday — Victor R. Zeto, 22, of Pittsburgh was charged with DUI and several traffic violations following a traffic stop along Woodbridge Drive in Slippery Rock Township.5:45 p.m. Tuesday — A hit-and-run vehicle set off a chain reaction collision on Route 68, near Kreiss Road, in Connoquenessing Township. The forest green, late '90s Chevrolet Blazer slammed into the rear of an SUV driven by Marci L. Cumberland, 43, of Butler, which in turn struck the rear of an SUV driven by Douglas R. Miller, 34, of West Sunbury. The hit-and-run driver was a white man in his late teens to early 20s, about 5 feet, 10 inches tall with brown hair. No one was injured.

3:05 p.m. Thursday — A car driven by Shane C. Gray, 23, of Rock Creek, Ohio, and a car driven by Gail A. Rea, 52, of Chicora collided on Route 422 in West Franklin Township, Armstrong County. Gray suffered a minor injury. Gray's passengers Kathleen E. Greene, 19, of Hubbard, Ohio, Heather J. Lange, 21, of Youngstown, Ohio, and Zachary J. Gray, 21, of Rock Creek Ohio, as well as Rea and her two passengers, a 13-year-old boy and a 9-year-old girl, were not injured. Shane Gray was cited for careless driving.
