6:38 p.m. Monday — A4-year-old Butler girl was injured when she ran into the side of a slow-moving car on North Cedar Street.Algesia Fusaro was taken by ambulance to Butler Memorial Hospital with moderate injures, a police report said. The child's condition was not known this morning.Police said the girl apparently ran from a garage onto the street and into the 1997 Oldsmobile Aurora driven by Claudia Nicholas, 48, of Butler.Nicholas told police she was traveling about 3 mph and could not avoid the child. Awitness gave police a similar account. No charges were filed.Monday — Police reported that a 9-year-old boy and a 12-year-old girl are accused of breaking into a West End home about 5:35 a.m. June 24. The girl also allegedly broke into a second home in the same area.Police did not say how the homes were broken into, or what was taken.Both youths face charges in juvenile court. The girl is charged with two counts each of burglary and theft; the boy is charged with one count of burglary and theft.10:10 a.m. Sunday — Police arrested two people for causing a disturbance and allegedly threatening staffers at the methadone clinic in Pullman Square.Police said Stephanie Steiger, 22, no address given, and Warren Green, no age or address given, are charged with disorderly conduct and terroristic threats. Steiger also was cited for driving with a suspended license and driving without insurance.5:14 p.m. Saturday — Wesley Gibson Jr., 30, of Lyndora is accused of trying to shoplift two air conditioners on sale at the Kmart store in Pullman Square. Police said Gibson is charged with retail theft.Friday — Police filed drug-related charges against Luke M. Sopel, 26, of Center Township for allegedly obtaining the prescription medication belonging to another person.Sopel is accused of picking up the drug diazepam, which is the generic name for anti-anxiety drug Valium, at a Butler pharmacy on July 3.The legal holder of the prescription reported the case to police after he went to the pharmacy and was told that his prescription already had been filled.Police said Sopel is charged with fraudulent acquisition of a controlled substance, forgery and possession of an unauthorized prescription.10:38 p.m. Thursday — Atractor-trailer driven by Daniel Macisaac, 53, of Nova Scotia, Canada, struck a utility pole at East Brady and North Monroe streets.

12:22 a.m. Sunday — Robin McCartney, 38, of Chicora was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Delwood Road.4:25 p.m. Friday — Timothy D. Bauer, 60, of Butler was arrested for suspected drunken driving and hit-and-run after his vehicle rear-ended another vehicle on Route 356 at Butler Commons.Police said Bauer, after hitting the back of a vehicle driven by Christopher Murray, 30, of Butler, drove off. Murray, however, followed Bauer to the suspect's home and called police.In addition to DUI, Bauer faces charges for accidents involving damage to an attended vehicle, driving too fast for conditions and careless driving.3:15 p.m. Friday — Jennifer Dawn Poloff, 24, of Clarksburg, Indiana County, was arrested for allegedly shoplifting $1,500 worth of DVDs at the Target store in Butler Commons during the past several months. Police said Poloff is charged with retail theft.

2:59 a.m. Sunday — Shilik Gray, 18, of North Braddock, Allegheny County, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at Cunningham Street and Fourth Avenue in Butler. Police said Gray also was arrested for possession of crack cocaine and marijuana.Sunday — About 300 compact discs in a case were stolen from a van in the area of Davis Road in Oakland Township. Alight-emitting diode DJ light also was taken from the same van. Shawn McKissick of Butler owns the stolen property, valued at $3,500.Meanwhile, in the same vicinity, 12 CDs valued at $150 were taken from a pickup truck owned by Steven Lubanovic of Chicora.Saturday — Police said Dale McCandless, 39, of Butler and Todd Montgomery, 24, of Grove City were arrested after they were spotted attempting to remove scrap metal from the Stanzione scrap yard in Clinton Township.

11:16 p.m. Sunday — Someone damaged a window air conditioner unit at the Emlenton Presbyterian Church.

4:35 a.m. Sunday — A vehicle crossed both lanes of traffic along Route 268 in Sugarcreek Township, just south of the Butler County line, and struck a gas meter.Police said the unidentified vehicle left the scene. The meter is owned by the Andreassi Gas Company in Chicora.
