Mars Area School Board approved a number of items Tuesday evening during a work session, including:

- Limiting any real estate tax increase to the index of 3%, determined by the Pennsylvania Department of Education.

- Eliminating curriculum leader positions for world language; elementary math; high school business, computers and information systems; music; art; physical education; and library media

- Adopting Policy 217 (graduation requirements).
