Patton

Isabel G. Patton, 84, formerly of Fredonia and Jamestown, N.Y., died at 8:06 a.m. Sunday in the St. John Specialty Care Center, Mars.

She was born June 20, 1924, in Greenville, a daughter of Elmer E. and Miriam Ridgeway Little.

Mrs. Patton was a 1942 graduate of Penn High School and the Morton Secretarial School in Pittsburgh.

She was a member of the Coolspring Presbyterian Church, Mercer, and its prayer line.

In addition to being a homemaker, she worked for eight years in the advertising department of the R.D. Werner Co. She also had worked at Palmer Pools in Fairview Township, Mercer County, as a retail clerk for 10 years and at Blazon Inc. of Jamestown.

Mrs. Patton enjoyed bowling and fishing with her husband, wintertime quilting, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

On Feb. 14, 1947, she married William C. Patton, who died April 17, 2007.

Surviving are two sons, William Douglas Patton and his wife, Pamela, of Houston, Texas, and Thomas Patton of Washington, Pa.; a daughter Claudia Ann Jennings and her husband, John, of Mars; a sister Lois McCandless of Port Richey, Fla.; four grandchildren, Scott Patton, Beth Machine, John W. Jennings and Amy Jennings; and seven great-grandchildren.

Deceased, in addition to her husband and parents, are a grandson, Jason Patton; two brothers, William G. and Morris E. Little; and a sister, Virginia Chess.

<B>PATTON </B>— Friends of Isabel G. Patton, who died Sunday, Sept. 21, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the <B>Andrew J. Vana Funeral Home</B>, 102 Church St., Hadley, where services be will held at 11 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. Philip Chalfant officiating.
