12:35 p.m. Tuesday — Sport utility vehicles driven by Michael E. Davis, 65, of Kittanning and April R. Miller, 44, of Center Township collided at East Jefferson and North McKean streets.7:29 a.m. Tuesday — Connie M. Cowher, 63, of West Sunbury was hurt when the car she was driving rear-ended a van on North Main Street. Cowher, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with minor injuries. Zachary Tosi, 20, of Butler was driving the van.4:50 p.m. Monday — Steven L. Lucas Jr., 26, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Miller Avenue. Police said they also cited Lucas for driving without a license and careless driving.5:05 p.m. June 15 — A car driven by Kevin M. Clapper, 18, of Butler Township struck the back of an SUV at Route 8 South and Pepperland Boulevard. Police said Clapper was cited for driving at an unsafe speed. Michael A. DiDonato, 18, of Butler was driving the SUV.
Wednesday — Michael T. Savage, 19, of Slippery Rock was charged with drug-related offenses stemming from a traffic stop about 9 p.m. June 8 at Route 528 and Blakely Road in Brady Township.Police said Savage was initially stopped for several equipment violations. A search of the vehicle he was driving, according to a police report, turned up marijuana and other contraband.He is charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He also was cited for driving without headlights and not wearing a seat belt.9:50 p.m. Tuesday — Patrick T. Henry, 22, of Lucasville, Ohio, was arrested after he allegedly punched a 20-year-old woman in the eye and slapped her across the mouth during a domestic dispute on East Slippery Rock Street in Donegal Township. The woman, from New Boston, Ohio, suffered minor injuries.Henry is charged with simple assault and harassment.3:30 p.m. Tuesday — An apparent stray bullet narrowly missed a 46-year-old Hilliards woman on Branchton Road in Washington Township. The woman told police she was picking blueberries when she heard a gunshot followed by the sound of what she believed was a bullet passing near her head.The woman, who was not hurt, said she heard one more shot after the near miss.Tuesday — A Clay Township woman told police that someone shot her year-and-a-half-old cat at her home on McGregor Road. She said the female cat was hit with a small-caliber bullet.5:33 p.m. Sunday — A car driven by Mary E. Millen, 88, of Butler rear-ended a pickup truck at Route 356 and Headland Road in Summit Township. Laura E. Swager, 37, of Butler was driving the pickup.
11:50 a.m. June 13 — A woman and child, both from Cumberland County, were hurt when their sport utility vehicle struck a deer on Interstate 79 in Springfield Township. Michealle L. Wright, 45, of Carlisle, the driver, and her passenger, a 13-year-old Newville girl, were taken to Grove City Medical Center with minor injuries; both were wearing seat belts.
