8:15 p.m. Tuesday — John Bernard Dixon, no age given, of Summit Township was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his pickup truck crashed into a field on Geibel Road about a half-mile south of Beck Road in Summit Township.3:58 p.m. Tuesday — A car driven by Emily E. Maki, 22, of Slippery Rock crashed into a tree along Route 8 in Center Township. Police said Maki, who was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with serious injuries, was cited for a lane violation.1:50 p.m. Tuesday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Kellie Chalmers, 30, of Parker slid off ice-covered Route 268 in Allegheny Township and struck several trees. The SUV flipped onto its roof and landed in a small creek. Police said Chalmers, who was wearing a seat belt, denied having any injuries in the crash.12:45 p.m. Tuesday — A car driven Martha Oesterling, 71, of Butler struck a fence and tree along Portman Road in Summit Township. Oesterling was treated at Butler Memorial Hospital for minor injuries.Friday — An unknown thief stole carpentry tools valued at $1,856 from a vehicle on Bonniebrook Road in Oakland Township. Stanley Gruver of Butler owns the property that was taken between Dec. 30 and Friday.1:30 p.m. Dec. 31 — A SUV driven by Heather Lemmex, 18, of Cranberry Township and a Mack truck driven by Troy Soltis, 39, of Waterford, Erie County, collided on Interstate 79 in Jackson Township. Lemmex was cited tor a lane violation.

2:58 p.m. Tuesday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Faye E. Mitchell, no age given, of Emlenton struck an embankment and rolled onto its side on Route 208 near Coal Valley Road in Clinton Township. Mitchell was cited for driving too fast for conditions.
