10:48 a.m. Wednesday — A suspected shoplifter was arrested after he allegedly forced his way past a Kmart security employee and ran out of the store in Pullman Square. Police quickly chased down the suspect Michael A. Weichey, 30, of Butler, who was found “out of breath” on Bantam Avenue, a police report said.Police said Weichey used a pocket knife to cut a $10 video game system DS card out of its package and tried to hide it. Store security confronted him but he took off.Weichey was arraigned on charges of robbery and retail theft, and released on his own recognizance.Wednesday — Police reported that four teenagers have been charged in juvenile court in connection with a vandalism spree earlier this month at the Butler Arbors apartments on Lincoln Avenue. The suspects, who police did not identify, caused more than $600 in damage in the apartment building.Charged with trespass, criminal mischief and conspiracy are two 14-year-old Butler boys, a 14-year-old Lyndora boy and a 17-year-old Butler girl.7:08 p.m. Friday — Elizabeth Cosme, 32, of Butler lost control of her sport utility vehicle traveling a curve, crossed two lanes and hit an oncoming car on Pittsburgh Road near Roosevelt Boulevard. Cosme and Rita A. Miller, 68, of Portersville, who was driving the SUV, were taken to Butler Memorial with minor injuries; neither was wearing a seat belt. Police said Cosme was cited for careless driving.

Aug. 8 — Someone broke into an unlocked home in the 200 block of West Pine Street, and stole jewelry and prescription pills. The burglary happened between the morning hours and 10 p.m.

10 p.m. Monday — A car driven by Tyler S. Miller, 20, of Grove City and a sport utility vehicle driven by Max Marzolf, 18, of Wellsboro, Tioga County, collided at Route 173 and Woodbridge Drive. Police said Miller was cited for a lane violation.Aug. 16 — A silver and black Polaris all-terrain vehicle was stolen from a garage at a home on Boydstown Road in Oakland Township. The ATV was taken Aug. 15 or 16.July 30 — A 17-year-old Slippery Rock boy used a Harrisville man's debit car several times without the owner's permission. The boy, who police did not identify, is charged in juvenile court with identity theft, unlawful use of a computer and theft.

Tuesday — An unknown burglar stole a diamond necklace, earrings and bracelet, and prescription medication from a Rimer Hill Road home in Madison Township. The break-in happened between 12:30 and 9:20 p.m.<B></B>
