The Butler High varsity girls bowling team finished its inaugural season 10-0 after beating Shaler 7-0 Thursday.

The Golden Tornado now will prepare for next week's playoffs and the Western Pennsylvania Regional Championship in North Versailles March 13.

The JV girls also ended with a 10-0 record.

The Tornado boys beat Shaler 4-3 to finish in a tie with the Titans (7-3), but Butler missed the playoffs in a tiebreaker.

In the process, they shot a season-high game of 1,117, which was good for a 223 average.

The JV boys finished with a 9-1 mark.
