East Brady man killed in collision

A Clarion County man was killed early Thursday morning, when his car was hit by a vehicle that crossed the center line of Route 68 in Armstrong County.

Jeffrey P. File, 55, of East Brady was pronounced dead at the scene Thursday by Armstrong County Coroner Brian K. Myers. Myers ruled File was killed by multiple blunt force traumas. His manner of death is pending and the incident remains under investigation by state police in Kittanning.

Myers’ office in a news release said that File had been driving a 2007 Chevrolet Impala east on Route 68 at about 6:30 a.m. when his vehicle was hit head-on by a 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer driven by Jeremy W. Six of East Brady.

Myers said Six’s vehicle crossed the road’s center line before hitting File’s vehicle. The crash occurred in Bradys Bend Township, about a quarter mile east of Kaylor-Frogtown Road.
