Butler Police6:48 a.m. Thursday — A car driven by David R. Fishel, 26, of Butler struck a utility pole at the intersection of East Jefferson and South Monroe streets.
Butler Twp Police2:08 p.m. Thursday — A vehicle driven by Elizabeth Ozella, 42, of East Butler, a pickup truck driven by John Wareham Jr., 41, of Clarion, and a Jeep driven by Cheisy Zabicky, 20, of Chicora collided at the intersection of New Castle and Hindman roads. Ozella suffered injuries of unknown severity to her neck and arm.8:20 p.m. Wednesday — Brandie Blystone, 21, of Butler was charged with retail theft after she allegedly tried to steal about $52 worth of merchandise from Walgreens.
State Police, Butler10:40 a.m. Friday — A 15-year-old Hilliards boy was cited for possession of a weapon on school property after he allegedly had a folding knife at Moniteau High School in Cherry Township.7:30 a.m. Friday — A car driven by Malcena Mooney, 67, of New Castle crashed into a nonfunctional gas pump at the intersection of West Park Road and Route 108 in Worth Township, allegedly while swerving to avoid a silver vehicle that had failed to obey a stop sign at the intersection. Anyone with information on the silver vehicle should call police at 724-284-8100.3 p.m. Thursday — Someone stole a yard decoration valued at $100 and belonging to Patty Vanistendael of Harrisville from her home along William Flynn Highway in Mercer Township. The wooden decoration is about 44 inches tall, weighing 30 pounds, and is described as a “skeleton sitting on a blue commode thinking.”12:43 p.m. Wednesday — A car driven by Amanda Y. Shoup, 20, of Harmony crashed into an embankment and rolled onto its roof along Interstate 79 in Jackson Township. Shoup was treated for moderate injuries and released at UPMC in Cranberry.6:15 a.m. Wednesday — A SUV driven by William A. Farris, 33, of New Castle and a tractor trailer driven by Kevin D. Campbell, 48, of Karns City collided on Route 422 near Currie Road in Muddy Creek Township.1:25 a.m. April 6 — Lucas L. Gardner, 30, of Slippery Rock was arrested under suspicion of DUI, possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop on Route 19 in Lancaster Township.3:05 a.m. March 31 — Ronald M. Jones, 31, of Chicora was arrested under suspicion of DUI and several traffic violations following a traffic stop on St. Joe Road in Oakland Township.March 23 — Barabara J. Butler, 45, of North Washington, Dale K. Butler, 51, of Prospect, and Debra L. Butler, 54, of Prospect each were charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop on Route 38 near Branchton Road in Washington Township. Dale Butler also was cited for allegedly having an open alcoholic beverage in the vehicle.
