7:13 p.m. Saturday — Michael Paul Jason "Chase" Chute, 30, of Butler was charged with burglary, criminal trespass and theft by unlawful taking after allegedly stealing two cans of paint and a weed trimmer from an apartment building owned by Theofanis Zelepos at 230 E. Penn St. Chute was arraigned before District Judge Pete Shaffer and jailed in Butler County Prison on $25,000 bail. Police found Chute in a vehicle driven by Troy Wroblewski, 39, also of Butler. After stopping the vehicle at the intersection of East Brady and North Elm streets, Wroblewski was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.

1:59 a.m. Sunday — Troy Slater, 44, of Butler was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence following a traffic stop on Route 8 in Center Township.12:12 p.m. Saturday — An SUV driven by Ralph Hetrick, 56, of Grove City and a car driven by Harold Moon, 45, of Butler collided on North Duffy Road in Center Township. Moon received minor injuries. No one else was injured. Hetrick was cited for an unspecified traffic violation.Noon Saturday — Stanley Joseph Borek, 33, of Center Township was arrested for simple assault after allegedly strangling a 39-year-old woman during a domestic dispute at 615 Sunset Drive. The woman received unspecified injuries. Borek also faces a resisting arrest charge. After being jailed in Butler County Prison, Borek posted $5,000 bond and was released.Saturday — An unknown person threw a handful of rocks at a vehicle owned by Codey Double of Boyers while it was parked at 1100 Boyers Road between 10:20 and 10:25 a.m., causing $700 worth of damage. In addition to breaking the front windshield, there was damage to the vehicle's body. Anyone with information about the incident can call police at 724-284-8100.Saturday — A cast iron patio set of one table and two chairs owned by Brenda Barnes of Summit Township was stolen from her Mitchell Hill Road residence between 6 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. Saturday. Anyone with information about the theft can call police at 724-284-8100.Saturday — Guns, a television, video games and a diamond ring were stolen from the Washington Township residence of Edward Ciochetto at 110 Water Lane between April 11 and May 30. The items stolen from the mobile home were a 26-inch Sanyo LCD TV, a diamond engagement ring, a Ruger Blackhawk .357 revolver, a Ruger Blackhawk .22 revolver, an H and R .22 revolver and various PlayStation 2 games.3:20 p.m. Friday — A car driven by Michael Gordon, 17, of Evans City and a car driven by Carol Gallagher, 49, of Renfrew collided head-on at the intersection of Brownsdale and Critchlow School roads. Gordon received minor injuries. Gallagher was not injured.3:10 p.m. Friday — A car driven by a 16-year-old Petrolia girl struck the rear of a car driven by Charlana Buck, 22, of Chicora that was stopped in traffic on Route 268 in Fairview Township. The impact sent the second vehicle into a pickup truck driven by Grant Weil, 21, of Butler that also was stopped in traffic. No injuries were reported. The 16 year old was cited for following another vehicle too closely.3:10 p.m. Friday — A 14-year-old girl was charged with burglary and theft after allegedly stealing various clothes, two cell phones and an iPod from the residence of Douglas Overly at 110 Venango Road in Venango Township.Friday — Four empty beer kegs worth a total of $120 were stolen from an outside storage area at the Texas Roadhouse at Clearview Mall in Center Township between 12:10 and 6 a.m. Anyone with information about the theft can call police at 724-284-8100.Friday — A car owned by David Thomas of West Sunbury was stolen while it was parked on Port-O-Call Boulevard in Penn Township. The vehicle, which is silver with a black top, is a 1991 Chrysler LeBaron convertible with the registration number GBY4547. Anyone with information about the theft can call police at 724-284-8100.Friday — A dirt bike owned by Raymond Elliott was stolen outside his residence at 134 Center Drive in Oakland Township between 10 p.m. Thursday and 5 a.m. Friday. The dirt bike is a red and black Honda XR70R3.Friday — Numerous pieces of scrap metal were stolen from Stephen Sheakley's property on Red Wood Road in Fairview Township between 10:30 p.m. Wednesday and 9:30 a.m. Friday. The items stolen were eight pieces of plow share steel that are 27 inches long, 12 inches high and a half-inch thick; three chains; four eye beams; and a piece of sheet metal. Anyone with information about the theft can call police at 724-284-8100.7:44 p.m. Thursday — A vehicle driven by Kyli Gorley, 25, of New Castle hit a guard rail on Interstate 79 in Lancaster Township then overturned. Gorley, who was wearing a seat belt, received moderate injuries. She was taken by Harmony Ambulance to UPMC Passavant Cranberry for treatment.4:30 p.m. Thursday — A car driven by Mandy McCall, 20, of West Sunbury and a car driven by Joseph Hemphill, 18, of Slippery Rock collided at the intersection of Slippery Rock and Stoughton roads. No injuries were reported.4:23 p.m. Thursday — A car driven by Benjamin Kowalczyk, 25, of West Springfield traveled off Crestview Road in Slippery Rock Township, the underside of the vehicle struck a large boulder and the vehicle landed in a driveway. The driver, who was wearing a seat belt, received moderate injuries but did not seek treatment at a hospital.7:55 p.m. Wednesday — A car driven by Jake Brandon, 19, of Gibsonia and a car driven by Courtney McClain, 21, of Saxonburg collided at the intersection of Route 228 and Saxonburg Boulevard in Clinton Township. No injuries were reported. Brandon was cited for failure to stop at a red light.5 p.m. Wednesday — A car driven by Stephen Rosenbauer, 21, of Butler struck the rear of a car driven by Mary Schell, 46, of Valencia while it was stopped in traffic on the exit ramp off Interstate 79 in Cranberry Township. No injuries were reported. Rosenbauer was cited for failing to stop.May 15 — A check card owned by Linda Eshenbaugh of Sarver was fraudulently used to make multiple purchases in Alabama on May 14 and 15.May 14 — Various tools owned by Stanley Stewart were stolen from his garage at 2369 Oneida Valley Road in North Washington between May 1 and 14. Anyone with information about the theft can call police at 724-284-8100.

4:30 p.m. — A 16-year-old boy of Parkersburg, W.Va., fled the George Junior Republic juvenile residential treatment center in Pine Township.

8:35 p.m. Thursday — The driver of an unknown vehicle hit a wood flower planter off Route 488 in Perry Township before driving off.
