Saturday — Eric Angerett, 31, no known address, is accused of stealing $60 and a bank debit card from his girlfriend's purse at her home on Wilson Avenue. Police said the victim, Kristen Graham, immediately suspected Angerett.Graham checked with the bank and found $436 missing from her account.Angerett later turned himself in at the police station and admitted he took the $60 and used the card for more money to buy crack cocaine, according to a police report.The suspect was placed in the Butler County Prison on an unrelated warrant. He also is charged with theft and access device fraud.Friday — A brown cloth purse was reported stolen between Tuesday and Friday in a burglary at an apartment in the 300 block of West Cunningham Street.
Sunday — Police reported that two green, 26-inch mountain bikes were found abandoned in the borough this month. One bike is an 18-speed Huffy Blades model and the other is an 18-speed Alpine.11 p.m. Wednesday — Police stopped a vehicle that was reportedly involved in a BB gun shooting at the Family Tradition Restaurant on South Main Street. A BB gun and marijuana pipe were found in the vehicle's passenger compartment.A police news release did not identify the suspect or indicate what charges would be filed.9:47 p.m. Sept. 7 — Charles Dean Moore, 51, of Grove City was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at North Main and Henry streets.
3:17 p.m. Sunday — A car driven by Edward J. Davey, 39, of Butler struck the back of a sport utility vehicle on Route 488 at the Interstate 79 on-ramp in Muddy Creek Township. Police said Davey was cited for following too closely to another vehicle. Alicia Gorajewski, 32, of Freedom, Beaver County, was driving the SUV.3 a.m. Sunday — Daniel Schnur, 24, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at Route 8 and Fairview Lane in Butler Township.2:40 p.m. Saturday — A Beaver County couple were hurt when the motorcycle they were riding on collided with a car on Route 68 at the Friedman's supermarket in Chicora.Daniel P. Crytzer, 60, of Freedom, who was driving the cycle, was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with minor injuries. Joann Crytzer, 59, of Freedom, a passenger, was flown by medical helicopter to UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh with moderate injuries.Police said Michael C. Ritzert, 35, of Chicora, who was driving the car, was cited for an improper left turn.Saturday — A black, Fujitsu-Simmons laptop computer was stolen between 1 and 9 a.m. in a burglary at a home in the Cooper Street Apartments in Slippery Rock. A black and orange Transcend external hard drive also was stolen.
Friday — Two tree stands and ladder sticks were stolen from trees in a wooded area about two-tenths of a mile northwest of Monetery and Miller roads in Madison Township. The theft happened between Sept. 12 and Friday.The stolen property, owned by a Chicora man, is worth $490. The tree stands are Big Game and Loggy Bayou brands. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 814-226-1710.
Sunday — Joseph J. Barch Jr., no age given, of Sarver was arrested for the July 15 break-in of a home on Worthington-Slate Lick Road in North Buffalo Township. Barch was arraigned on burglary charges and placed in the Armstrong County Jail on $10,000 bail.
1:50 a.m. Sunday — Debra J. Lyons, 53, of Grove City was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at Route 208 and TCI Park Drive in Pine Township.
