Once-beaten Karns City rallied in the final two innings to defeat Armstrong, 3-1, in softball action Tuesday.
The Gremlins won their seventh straight game as Marra Patton scattered six hits and strck out four. Ashley Fox had two singles and two RBI for he Gremlins while Jessica Dunn had a single and RBI, Jayda Polczynski two singles.
Karns City trailed 1-0 before scoring once in the sixth and twice in the seventh.

Baseball
Matt Mroz struck out six and allowed only two hits in five innings Tuesday as Mars defeated Woodland Hills, 8-1.
Zack Orosz had a double, single and scored three runs for the Planets (9-3, 7-1). Jake Johnson singled, walked twice and scored three runs.
Jahshawn Pringle doubled for Woodland Hills. Mars plays Knoch Friday night at Pullman Park.
Knoch 10, Indiana 9 — The Knights clinched a WPIAL playoff berth Monday night with a wild nine-inning win at Pullman Park. Knoch forced extra innings by scoring a run in the bottom of the seventh, rallied to tie the game again in the eighth and won it by playing three runs in the ninth.
Isaac Roddy was hit by a pitch to start the seventh, moved to third on a Luke DiSanti single and scored on Logan Cypher’s groundout,. The Knights scored in the eighth as Angelo DeLeonardis doubled and scored on a throwing error.
Trailing 9-7 entering the bottom of the ninth, Knoch began the frame with a walk to Brady Wozniak. Roddy was hit by a pitch again, then Cypher was hit by a pitch to load the bases with one out. Dathan Gillis hit a two-run single to tie the game. Braden Kriley’s first regular season varsity at-bat resulted in an infield single to plate the winning run.
In Tuesday’s rematch, the Knights scored seven runs with two outs in the sixth inning in a 10-7 win over the Indians. Logan Cypher had a key two-run double to help put Knoch ahead for good.
The Knights and North Catholic both sport 6-2 section records and will decide the section championship when they face each other twice next week.
North Allegheny 4, Butler 0 — The Golden Tornado (8-3 overall) dropped to 4-3 in Section 1-6A play with this loss to the host Tigers.
No other details were available.
The teams will square off again at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at Pullman Park.
Track and Field
Union/A-C Valley’s Payton Johnston, Andrew Verostek and JP Blauser swept the boys triple jump as the Falcon Knights edged Redbank Valley, 75-74.
In the girls meet, Evie Bliss won both hurdle events, but Union/A-C Valley fell to the Bulldogs, 83-62.
