10:59 p.m. Saturday — Three people were cited for disorderly conduct after police had to be called twice to a Mitchell Avenue home for a loud party and reported disturbance. Charged are James R. Lindsay, 27, and Larry Gould, 58, both of Butler; and Meredith Smith, 22, of Clearfield Township.1:19 a.m. Saturday — Corey Jon Shoup, 26, of Summit Township faces drug charges after police found him passed out in the driver's seat of a car parked at the employee's parking lot at Butler County Ford on West Wayne Street.Apolice report said the car was still running and an officer had to rouse Shoup, who was "so intoxicated he did not know where he was."The suspect was searched and found with a stamp bag of suspected heroin and a pill believed to be of clonazepam, an anti-anxiety drug, for which he did not have a prescription. Shoup is charged with possession of a controlled substance and public drunkenness.

12:32 a.m. Sunday — AButler Township police officer was injured in a two-vehicle crash at Route 356 and Duffy Road in Butler Township.Police said the crash occurred when a pickup truck driven by Stephen Eury, 62, of Portersville failed to yield the right of way at a flashing red light and struck the side of a police cruiser driven by Patrolman Ray Kriebel, 46. Kriebel suffered a minor injury but did not require medical treatment.8:45 p.m. Saturday — Charges are pending against an 11-year-old Prospect boy suspected of firing a BB from an air pistol at a car onRoute 422 in Franklin Township.The BBshattered the rear window of the car occupied by Jennifer Guerra, 27, and Richard Auther, 28, both of Hamburg, N.Y. Neither occupant was hurt.3:36 p.m. Saturday — Asport utility vehicle driven by John E. Badger, 20, of Portersville crashed and rolled onto its side on Route 488 near Kelly Road in Muddy Creek Township. Police said Badger, who was treated at Butler Memorial Hospital for moderate injuries, was cited for careless driving and a lane violation.10:30 a.m. Saturday — Jeremy Natale Augostino, 29, of Slippery Rock is accused of stealing copper wire from 327 Crestview Road in Slippery Rock Township home. Police said Augostino is charged with burglary, theft and trespass. David Duryea of Slippery Rock owns the stolen property.Saturday — Sarah Boggs reported that while hosting a party at her Kuzma Road home in Clay Township, someone took her purse containing car keys and stole her gold Toyota Camry with Florida license plates. The theft occurred between 5:30 and 9:30 a.m.Saturday — Four 16-inch aluminum rims and tires were taken from a vehicle at 391 Stanford Road in Muddy Creek Township. The property, owned by Richard Elliott of New Brighton, Beaver County, was stolen between 5 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. Saturday.4:10 p.m. Friday — Apickup truck driven by John L. Summerville, 23, of Chicora struck the rear of another pickup at Route 68 and Oakland Drive in Oakland Township. Police said Summerville was cited for following too closely to another vehicle. David Ellenberger, 41, of Karns City was driving the pickup that was struck from behind.2:10 p.m. Friday — A car driven by Katherine Tarara, 28, of Wheeling, W.Va., crashed into a ditch and overturned on Interstate 79 in Jackson Township.11:15 a.m. Friday — Two people were injured when vehicles driven by Jason E. McGuire, 32, of New Castle and Thomas F. Kelly Jr., 67, of Karns City collided at Routes 68 and 268 in Fairview Township. The crash forced Kelly's SUV into a metal utility pole.Police said Kelly was flown to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh with unknown injuries. McGuire was treated at Butler Memorial for moderate injuries.7:30 a.m. Friday — A car driven by Christopher J. Skidmore, 41, of Butler and a pickup truck driven by Andrew J. Daniels, 54, of Butler collided at the intersection of Route 422 and Currie Road in Muddy Creek Township. Police said Skidmore was cited for careless driving.Friday — An unknown burglar used a prying-type tool to force open a locked door of a maintenance building at the Butler Area Soccer Association in Center Township. It was not immediately known if anything was taken. APepsi machine, however, was damaged.10:52 p.m. Thursday — Kristopher Kirkwood, 23, of Slippery Rock was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after being pulled over for speeding at Route 173 and Harmony Road in Slippery Rock Township.2:40 p.m. Thursday — A car driven by Kyle R. Golik, 23, of Tarentum and a car driven by Dennis R. Kerr, 60, of Butler collided at the Clearview Mall and Clearview Circle in Center Township.5:38 Wednesday — A car driven by Jonathan D. Stewart, 20, of Sarver and an SUV driven by James E. Samek, 50, of Butler collided at Dinnerbell Road and Charlemagne Drive in Jefferson Township. Police said Stewart was cited for an undisclosed traffic violation.Wednesday — Robert Manchester, 25, of Harmony was arrested under suspicion of DUI following a minor traffic accident on Hamilton Road near Herman Road in Clearfield Township.12:32 p.m. Tuesday — A van driven by Sharon L. Eslen, 45, of Prospect and an SUV driven by Stephanie A. Reay, 33, of Butler collided at Route 68 and Kreiss Road in Connoquenessing Township. A 2-year-old passenger in Reay's vehicle was taken by medical helicopter to Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh with moderate injuries.Police said Eslen was cited in connection with the collision and Reay was cited for improper use of a child restraint system.

12:20 p.m. Friday — Christopher D. Lindsey, 30, of East Brady was injured when the motorcycle he was driving struck a deer on Route 965 in Mineral Township. Police said Lindsey, who was wearing a helmet, was taken to Grove City Medical Center with moderate injuries.

7:30 p.m. Wednesday — Pickup trucks driven by James Hutchison, 37, of Kittanning and Robert A. Stewart, 76, of Valencia collided on Route 28 in Buffalo Township.

1:20 p.m. Tuesday — Randy Gail Preston, 51, of Polk, Venango County, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Bortz Drive near Walnut Street in Sandy Lake Township. Police said Preston also was cited for driving on the wrong side of the road, careless driving and not using turn signals.July 19 — A Marlin .22-caliber rifle, DVD players, microwave oven and other items were taken in a burglary at a Millbrook Road home in Worth Township. The stolen property, valued at $1,144, was taken between July 5 and 19.July 17 — An unknown thief cut the lock off a work site trailer and stole several unspecified tools valued at $8,841. Penn-Ohio of Masury, Ohio, owns the stolen property that was taken between 3:30 p.m. July 16 and 5 p.m. July 17.July 16 — Shirley Eicher reported that a .22-caliber revolver was taken from her South Center Street Extension home in Pine Township. The theft occurred between July 12 and 16.
