2:33 p.m. Wednesday Earl John Maier, 27, of Butler, despite a no-contact order against him, is accused of showing up at a Fairview Avenue apartment where a day earlier he was arrested for domestic violence.Maier is in Butler County Prison on $25,000 bail stemming from the latest incident with 34-year-old Billie Jo Henry. He is charged with indirect criminal contempt.The defendant had been jailed Tuesday and released that same day in connection with his arrest for simple assault and possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.Wednesday Police charged John Arthur Cochran II, 41, of Butler for allegedly exposing himself to women on separate occasions April 2 while in his car at the Pullman Square shopping center. Cochran is charged with two counts each of indecent exposure and disorderly conduct.12:25 p.m. Tuesday Sport utility vehicles driven by Margaret Kelley, 64, of Sarver and Jacob Campbell, 20, of Butler collided at North Monroe and East Brady streets.9:45 a.m. Tuesday A tractor-trailer driven by Boyd Bossler, 60, of Chicago Ridge, Ill., and a car driven by Carolyn Graff, 64, of Saxonburg collided on South Main Street. Graff was treated at Butler Memorial Hospital for moderate injuries. Police said Bossler was cited for failing to stop at a red light.
11:18 a.m. Tuesday A garage truck driven by David Martinkovich, 45, of Butler collided with a car on Route 8 and Beech Road. Susan Geibel, 46, of Butler, who was driving the car, was treated at Butler Memorial Hospital for unknown injuries.
Friday Two people were arrested for driving under the influence during roving DUI patrols in Butler County last weekend. In all, 87 vehicles were stopped. Officers issued 29 traffic tickets and 70 warnings.
2:40 a.m. Wednesday Cara Louise Rea, 43, of Slippery Rock was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at Meridian Road and Route 68 in Butler Township.9 a.m. Tuesday A sport utility vehicle driven by Tracy Gilliland, 38, of Cabot slid on snow-covered Route 356 and Winfield Road in Winfield Township, and collided with a car. Police said Gilliland was cited for driving too fast for conditions, Police did not identify the driver of the car.1:47 a.m. Tuesday Crystal Myers, 41, of Grove City was arrested for suspicion of DUI on Route 8 near Hall Road in Brady Township.Monday A 59-inch Toshiba television and a pair of women's shoes were stolen in a burglary at an East Slippery Rock Road home in Donegal Township. The same unknown burglar tried unsuccessfully to break into another home on the same road.Monday A burglar stole a pine bench table and cast iron pot belly stove from a trailer on Yellow Creek Road in Muddy Creek Township. Police have a suspect in the burglary that occurred between Nov. 1 and Monday.
April 1 James Anthony said someone between Oct. 10 and April 1 stole a 22-inch Husqvarna chainsaw from his Ruth Hill Road home in West Franklin Township.
6:36 p.m. Wednesday A pickup truck driven by Dale E. Moore, 49, of Slippery Rock struck a traffic sign before traveling into a 4-foot ditch along Route 108 near Shotsch Lane in Scott Township. The pickup came out of the ditch, went across the road and into a second, smaller ditch.Police said Moore, who drove off after the crash, was later stopped and cited for leaving the scene of an accident.
