Karns City’s baseball team was limited offensively in a 9-2 non-section defeat to Punxsutawney Tuesday night.

Mike Neff made the start on the hill for the Gremlins (4-3), lasting 4.1 frames and allowing five hits. His counterpart, the Chucks’ Coy Martino, turned in a five-inning effort, striking out six and giving up only one run.

Hobey Bartoe, Braden Grossman, and Cole Sherwin had KC’s only knocks — all singles. Grossman had an RBI in the loss.

Karns City hits the road to play Clarion-Limestone Thursday.
