Saturday — A red and black Murray push lawn mower worth about $60 was reported stolen overnight from the yard of a home on American Avenue.
2:10 p.m. Friday — A car driven by Kyle Bodkin, 22, and a minivan driven by Rhonda Rodgers, 42, both of Butler, collided on South Eberhart Road.2:37 p.m. Wednesday — A car driven by Ashley Spare, 23, of Butler struck the rear of a Butler Transit Authority bus at Delwood Road and Route 68. Police said Spare was cited for driving with a suspended license and driving at an unsafe speed. Catherine Wright, 54, of Butler was driving the bus.
Monday — Police filed a criminal charge against a 14-year-old boy allegedly caught last week with a 3-inch folding knife at Grove City Middle School.The boy, who police did not identify, is charged in Mercer County juvenile court with possession of a weapon on school property.1:10 a.m. Sunday — John P. Stalker II, 46, of Grove City was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on South Center Street. The arrest was made during a sobriety checkpoint as a part of the Mercer County DUI Task Force.In all, officers made two DUI stops and arrested one person for possession of a controlled substance. Additionally, two people were cited for driving with a suspended license-DUI related. Officers also issued two other traffic tickets and six warnings.
10:38 p.m. Sunday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Jeremy J. Layburn, 18, of Parker struck a tree along Division Road in Allegheny Township. Police said Layburn, who was treated at Grove City Medical Center for a minor injury, was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.Sunday — An unknown thief removed the air lines from a 2007 Kenworth truck tractor parked at a Route 19 parking lot in Lancaster Township. The theft happened between June 6 and Sunday.4:10 a.m. Saturday — Patrick Cunningham, 21, of Presto, Allegheny County, was arrested for suspicion of DUI on Interstate 79 in Muddy Creek Township.Saturday — An unknown thief stole the red lens cover to a vehicle brake light at the Moraine Campgrounds in Brady Township. The theft happened between 12:30 and 8 a.m.11 p.m. Friday — Two people were hurt when a car driven by Patrick J. McCaffrey, 52, of Sarver struck the rear of a sport utility vehicle on Route 422 in Franklin Township. McCaffrey and John F. Recupero, 42, of Ford City, Armstrong County, a passenger in the SUV, suffered minor injuries.Police said McCaffrey was cited for following too closely to the SUV, driven by Matthew D. Wolfe, 36, of Ford City.June 4 — Unspecified items between 7:30 p.m. and midnight were stolen from a vehicle at The Just Inn on Branchton Road in Washington Township.
12:24 a.m. Sunday — Andrew D. Harmon, 23, of Karns City faces charges in a crash on Queenstown Road in Perry Township.Police said Harmon lost control of his car, traveled over a driveway, through a yard and hit a utility pole. The suspect, according to a police report, had his car removed from the scene of the crash and towed to his house, where it was stored in a garage.Harmon faces charges of failing to immediately notify police of an accident, accidents involving damage to unattended property, and driving on the wrong side of the road.
