Butler Police5:05 p.m. Tuesday — Christopher L. Cubbage, 27, of Butler was arrested after allegedly assaulting his girlfriend, 22-year-old Jessica Custer of Butler, while the couple walked on Cleveland Street. A police report said Custer is seven months pregnant. Cubbage was arraigned on a charge of simple assault, and placed in the Butler County Prison on $5,000 bail.

State Police, Butler3:10 p.m. Sunday — A wheel and tire rolled from a home on Route 68 near Acre Avenue struck the hood of a 2010 Dodge Charger driven by Stanley Majocka III, 40, no address given. A police report noted that the unidentified person who caused the tire to be rolled onto the road would not be charged.3 p.m. Sunday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Joshua R. Caton, 19, of Evans City struck a tree after skidding off rain soaked Mars-Evans City Road in Forward Township.Sunday — An unknown would-be burglar tried to break into Thoma's Meat Market on Dinnerbell Road in Jefferson Township. The attempted burglary happened between 4 p.m. Saturday and 6:30 a.m. Sunday.10 p.m. Saturday — A metallic orange, 20-inch Haro BMX bicycle was stolen from the front lawn of a home on Chicora Road in Summit Township.7:48 p.m. Thursday — Two people were hurt when a car driven by Sherry L. Reges, 39, of Butler rear-ended an SUV on Route 8 near Mercer Road in Center Township. Arlene M. Davison, 46, of New Wilmington, Lawrence County, who was driving the SUV, and his passenger, Anthony D. Bobro, 34, of New Wilmington, suffered minor injuries. Davison was wearing a seat belt; Bobro was not.Police said Reges was cited for careless driving.Thursday — Six or more black, oval-shaped counterweights were stolen from a New Holland skid loader in the Ghost Riders parking lot on Route 8 in Center Township. The theft happened between Aug. 15 and Thursday.

State Police, Clarion8:45 a.m. Sunday — One person was hurt when a sport utility vehicle and Freightliner truck collided on Interstate 80 in Allegheny Township, Butler County. Kayla Kittka, 20, of Meadville, Crawford County, a passenger in the SUV who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to Clarion Hospital with minor injuries.Police said the SUV driver, Karen L. Kittka, 48, of Conneaut Lake, Crawford County, was cited for a lane violation. Arthur J. Holley Jr., 50, of Plymouth, Luzerne County, was driving the truck.5:50 a.m. Sunday — A car driven by William T. Harper, 67, of Niles, Ohio, struck a guardrail on I-80 in Allegheny Township, Butler County.

State Police, Kittanning7:15 a.m. Sunday — Linda D. Marquardt, 55, of Freeport was hurt when the car she was driving struck two pickup trucks, a road sign and concrete wall in Freeport. Marquardt, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to St. Margaret's Hospital with a minor wrist injury.Police suspect Marquardt blacked out twice, which caused the crash. Her car struck the first pickup on Riverside Drive before continuing north and hitting the second pickup on Fifth Avenue.The car went across the other side of Fifth Avenue and hit a borough sign. But the car did not stop and traveled for another two-tenths of a mile west on Fifth Avenue, hitting the wall on Buffalo Street.

State Police, Mercer

6:25 a.m. Friday — Two people were hurt when cars driven by Adrian I. Baker, 48, of Franklin, Venango County, and Diana L. Haugh, 52, of Grove City collided on Route 173 in Wolf Creek Township. Baker and Haugh were taken to Grove City Medical Center with minor and moderate injuries, respectively. Both drivers were wearing seat belts.

Police said Baker was cited for a stop sign violation.
