SLIPPERY ROCK — District Judge Tim Shaffer recently heard these cases:

John J. Bednarsky, 20, of Pittsburgh waived to court a charge of possessing drug paraphernalia, filed March 12 by Slippery Rock University police.

Zachary M. Cygan, 19, of Butler waived to court charges of possessing with intent to deliver a controlled substance, and possessing a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, filed Feb. 19 by SRU police.

Cody L. McAvoy, 19, of Washington, Pa., waived to court charges of possessing with intent to deliver a controlled substance, and possessing a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, filed Feb. 25 by SRU police.

Brian P. Morgan, 35, of Pittsburgh waived to court a charge of driving under the influence, filed March 20 by state police.

Jesse J. Muto, 23, of Harmony waived to court two counts each of attempting to possess a controlled substance and possessing drug paraphernalia, filed Feb. 27 by SRU police.

Zachary R. Nixon, 23, of Butler waived to court charges of DUI, failing to keep right, disregarding traffic lanes, driving at an unsafe speed, careless driving, reckless driving, not wearing a seat belt and an open container violation, filed April 8 by state police.

CHICORA — District Judge Lewis Stoughton recently heard these cases filed by state police:Donald T. Fair, 27, of Chicora waived to court charges of driving under the influence, driving at an unsafe speed and careless driving, filed April 19.Beatrice Jo Gravatt, 48, of Harrisville waived to court charges of arson, reckless endangerment, criminal mischief and disorderly conduct, filed May 21.Ronda Sue Jones, 45, of Boyers waived to court charges of DUI, driving without a license, failing to keep right, disregarding traffic lanes, driving at an unsafe speed, careless driving and not wearing a seat belt, filed April 23.Amber Jo Sortore, 30, of Butler waived to court a charge of retail theft, filed April 22.
