Donald L. Cuffman Sr.

Donald L. Cuffman Sr., 74, of Butler died at 2:35 p.m. Tuesday at UPMC, Pittsburgh.

Born Dec. 15, 1930, in Butler, he was the son of Earl Leroy and Julia Doctor Cuffman.

He was a 1949 graduate of Butler High School, where he played football and track. He began working at Armco-Butler Works in the shipping department in 1951 and retired as a general foreman. He was president of Butler Armco Management Club in 1980-81 and a member of Armco Golf League.

Mr. Cuffman was a member of the Trinity Presbyterian Church.

He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Surviving are his wife, Norma Jean Allen Cuffman, whom he married Feb. 16, 1953; two sons, Donald Jr. and Daniel Cuffman, both of Meridian; a daughter, Pamela Schmidt of Upper St. Clair; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. A brother, Earl Cuffman Jr. of Butler, also survives.

CUFFMAN - Friends of Donald L. Cuffman Sr., who died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2004, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today atYOUNG FUNERAL HOME, 127 W. Jefferson St. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dennis Molnar, his church pastor, assisted by the Rev. Jeffrey Noyes officiating. Burial will be at Greenlawn Burial Estates, Mount Chestnut.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Butler Football Boosters, P.O.
