Karns City students Brooke Manuel and Abigail Callihan are raising money and collecting food to give out Christmas dinners for children who participate in Karns City’s backpack weekend food program.

Food items are being collected at Cummings Candy on Main Street in Butler, The Sweet Gremlin in Petrolia and Holy Trinity Church in Chicora. They will also raise money through donations, a tree raffle and a silicon bracelet sale.

Local businesses donated gift cards to be raffled off by purchasing a $10 ticket drawn at Light Up Night in Chicora on Nov 28.
