John A. Semes Jr.
John A. Semes Jr., 56, formerly of Butler, passed away Aug. 24 in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Born Aug. 12, 1952, in Butler, he was the dear son of Agnes Marie (Yamnitsky) Semes and the late John A. Semes Sr.
He was a 1970 graduate of Butler High School and was a member of the Butler High gymnastics team.
John was employed by Hamilton County Parks District as a maintenance technician for 21 years, and he was well respected by his fellow workers.
John had enjoyed cooking, was an avid outdoor person and was an expert with a Frisbee.
Surviving are his loving daughter, Maria Semes of Wyoming, Ohio; his mother, Agnes Marie Semes of Butler; and his sisters and a brother, Mrs. Robert (Susan) Sloan of Eau Claire, Mr. Paul S. Semes and his wife, Vicki, of Butler and Mrs. Mark (Mary Jean) Dietrick of Mars. Also surviving are his former wife, Judith Busemeyer; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia A. (Semes) MacKrell; and an infant brother, Patrick M. Semes.
<B>SEMES </B>—<B> </B>A memorial Mass for John A. Semes Jr., who died Sunday, Aug. 24, 2008, will be held at noon Saturday, Oct. 4, at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N.
