S. Butler staff, students test positive
Two faculty, one staff member, a number of parents and four students have reported to the South Butler County School District superintendent that they have tested positive for COVID-19.
David Foley, superintendent, said a staff member at the primary school, a teacher at Knoch Middle School and a teacher at Knoch High School have tested positive.
A student at the primary school and three students from the high school have also tested positive.
“Once again, please be proactive in following the COVID health protocols and consider staying away from public places with a lot of people,” Foley said in a news release Wednesday.
Foley said he has asked the affected staff and teachers, along with the students and staff who had close contact with them, to quarantine at home.
The district went to remote learning Monday for all grade levels due to difficulties in the coronavirus pandemic.
