Martha 'Marty' J. Bollinger
Martha "Marty" J. Bollinger, 68, of Ableview Drive in Butler died Wednesday at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Born June 13, 1940, in Butler, she was the daughter of the late Floyd J. and Vernie Fox Burns.
Marty was a 1958 graduate of Butler High School. She was retired from the materials management department at Butler Armco where she worked for 21 years until her retirement in 1993.
She was a member of the Christ Community United Methodist Church in Butler and was also the past president of the Armco Women's Club. She was a member of the Tuesday Evening Dinner 500-Card Club and formerly was a member of the "Chosen Few" bowling league.
She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Lyle (Nancy) Campbell of Chicora; two brothers and their wives, Floyd "Jack" and Marge Burns of Brunswick, Ohio, and Harry "Hap" and Carol Burns of Butler; a stepson, David Bollinger; a sister-in-law, Mrs. John (Judy) Graham of Meridian; a brother-in-law, Glenn "Gabby" Bollinger of Butler; and several nieces and nephews.
Her husband, Terry L. "Butch" Bollinger, who she married Oct. 26, 1991, preceded her in death on July 7, 1996. Her sister-in-law, Mary Burns, also preceded her in death.
<B>BOLLINGER — </B>Friends of Martha "Marty" J. Bollinger, who died Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St.Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Christ Community United Methodist Church in Butler with the Rev. Howard F. Burrell officiating.Burial will follow at Butler County Memorial Park.
