Students from Butler Catholic School did well at the Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Sciences state competition at Penn State University May 20 to May 22. Students presented their science fair projects at a regional competition in February at Slippery Rock University and those who received first place went on to compete at the state competition. Students who received first place awards at PSU include eighth graders Nicholas Benec, Kathryn Ravasio and Lacy Zagurskie; and seventh graders Bridget Preston and Aaron Short. Second place winners include eighth graders Daniel Orsborn, Grace Foehringer and Stella Swanson and seventh graders Joshua Kelly and Shaylee Walls.
