Butler County will see over $4.3 million in state funding distributed to its municipalities after the Commonwealth Financing Authority approved a wave of Local Share Account grants.

According to news releases from several state legislators, 22 municipalities and municipal authorities in Butler County will receive some funding for individual projects as of Tuesday, Sept. 15.

LSA grant funds come through the distribution of gaming revenues to support projects of public interest within the state.

• Adams Township Municipal Water Authority: $400,000 to extend a water line along Harbison and Forsythe roads in Middlesex Township.

• Buffalo Township: $250,000 for municipal building site improvements, including stormwater pipe reconstruction, an ADA-accessible parking area, drainage and grading work and construction of a 24-by-60-foot police storage garage.

• Chicora Borough: $73,259 to purchase a 300-gallon vacuum trailer with valve-operation capability to help identify water service-line materials and to support catch basin and drain maintenance.

• Clay Township: $155,000 to purchase a new smooth drum vibratory soil compactor to replace an aging and undersized roller.

• Clearfield Township: $223,200 to purchase a wheel loader for road maintenance, material handling and emergency response during severe weather.

• Concord Township: $401,288 to make a major addition to its equipment garage.

• Cranberry Township: $250,000 to complete site work and infrastructure necessary to support construction of a recreation center.

• Donegal Township: $126,627 to purchase a skid-steer loader and attachments for digging, grading, material handling and snow removal; and $90,890 to purchase a mini excavator for municipal digging work.

• Eau Claire Borough: $66,914 to outfit a tractor for mowing and snow plowing.

• Evans City Borough: $100,000 to develop a new recreation and parking area at EDCO Park; $50,000 to replace a culvert on Jefferson Street; $50,000 to construct a salt shed, maintenance garage and storage yard; and $50,000 to make upgrades to the storm sewer system covering areas along Dunbar Avenue, Sarah Alley, Wahl Avenue, Porter Alley and Five Sons Properties.

• Harmony Borough: $100,000 to purchase and upfit a plow truck with snowplow equipment.

• Harrisville Borough: $78,912 to purchase a pickup truck for winter maintenance.

• Jackson Township: $100,000 to modernize the current EMS building on behalf of Harmony EMS.

• Mars Borough: $100,000 to construct stormwater improvements to W. Arch Street and near St. Johns Church.

• Mercer Township: $211,914 to purchase a new tractor and boom mower attachment.

• Oakland Township: $234,902 to purchase a tractor and accessories for roadside landscaping, snow removal, construction and year-round sweeping.

• Parker Township: $156,000 to purchase a backhoe.

• Saxonburg Borough: $54,057 to purchase and install a backup generator at the borough police department; and $69,334 to purchase and equip a police cruiser.

• Slippery Rock Municipal Authority: $116,338 to purchase a new excavator.

• Slippery Rock Township: $200,000 to purchase a new wheeled excavator and attachments.

• Washington Township: $150,000 to purchase a tractor with boom mower and ditcher attachments.

• Zelienople Borough: $500,000 to install 3,030 feet of storm sewers and 80 inlets along Hazel, McKim and Pine streets.
