Paige Allen, Christopher Short and Scott Slaney picked up first-place finishes for the Butler Stealth Track Club at the Bethel Park Pacer over the weekend.

Allen placed first in the high jump, Short won the 800 meters and Slaney finished first in the 3,000 meters.

Sara Cobern, Fallon Bachman and Bethany Schmidt had two hits apiece for Butler (8-7), but Seneca Valley prevailed 7-3 Monday in junior high softball action Monday.

Butler's grades 4-6 youth lacrosse team is 12-4 after defeating Pine-Richland 12-4 and losing to Bethel Park, 8-6.Clay Bachman had five goals and four assists against Pine-Richland while J.J. Raub added three goals, Tanner Kotch two goals and two assists, Ben Tackett a goal and four assists, Jake Harrison a goal.Bachman scored three goals against Bethel Park with Raub adding two and Kotch one.• Seneca Valley's eighth-grade boys defeated Franklin Regional, 4-3, as Josh Deitch scored two goals, including the game-winner. Mike Dudenhaver and Will Fleming also scored with Mike Russell adding two assists.

Maranda McGovern scored five goals as the Slippery Rock girls 12-under team defeated Neshannock, 8-5, Sunday. Skylar Kerr, Ellie Mularski and Aster Chmielewski also scored goals.Cassie Cooper and Mularski were the goalkeepers.• Cody Wolinski scored the lone goal as the Prospect Boys and Girls co-ed team suffered a 2-1 loss to Hopewell. Michael Stutz assisted on the goal and Jordan Marks had 13 saves in goal in a losing cause.• The Prospect U-12 traveling team defeated Shenango 5-1 as goals were scored by Christian Durban, Joshua Stutz, Henry Joyce and Johnny Marks.
