Charles R. 'Butch' Zaludek
Charles R. "Butch" Zaludek, 67, of Highfield died early Friday morning at his home.
Born May 29, 1941, in Butler, he was the son of the late Charles and Nellie Schnitzki Zaludek.
He was a 1959 graduate of Butler Senior High and had proudly earned the Eagle Scout rank with Troop 16, Boy Scouts of America, in Lyndora.
Butch had worked for 28 years at the Melt Shop of the Butler Armco Steel plant, retiring in 1987.
He was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Ukrainian Catholic Church in Lyndora, was a life member of the Slovak Club, a member of the Happy Hunters Club of Fenelton and the Highfield Community Center.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia J. "Judy" Franek Zaludek, whom he married Oct. 9, 1965; a son, Ken Zaludek, and his wife, Melissa, of Renfrew; a daughter, Lisa Zaludek of Butler; two grandchildren, Jacob and Sarah Zaludek; two brothers, Michael (Judy) Zaludek of Butler and David (Bonnie) Zaludek of Fenelton; three sisters, Carole (Dale) Willison, Nancy (Ken) Huff and JoAnn (John) Waterbec, all of Butler; and a number of aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter.
<B>ZALUDEK</B> — Friends of Charles R. "Butch" Zaludek, who died Friday, Dec. 5, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St.A funeral liturgy will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Michael the Archangel Ukrainian Catholic Church, 610 Hansen Ave., Lyndora. The Rev.
