7:21 a.m. Friday — Ice and snow on the road was blamed for a crash at Garfield and Euclid avenues that caused a car to plow into the back of a building.The wreck happened when Tiffany D. Duncan, 31, of Summit Township lost control of her car and slid through the intersection, hitting the rear of 123 Morton Ave., an unoccupied building. No injuries were reported.
2:40 p.m. Sunday — A car driven by Deloris Bennett, 82, of Butler struck an unoccupied vehicle in the parking lot at Moraine Pointe Plaza and did not stop after the crash. Police cited Bennett for hit-and-run.3:39 p.m. Saturday — Two people were hurt in a one-car crash on New Castle Road at the Route 422 West on-ramp. Mary Burchard, 33, of Illinois told police she lost control of the vehicle when she swerved to miss a deer on the road.Burchard and her passenger, Destiny Burchard, 18, of Illinois, were taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.
Monday — A 15-year-old boy was cited for harassment after hitting another 15-year-old boy on the side of the head and putting him in a head lock at Grove City High School.
10:24 p.m. Monday — A car driven by Alyssa M. Morris, 24, of Cranberry Township crashed into a tree along Moose Road in Connoquenessing Township. Police said Morris was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.8:15 a.m. Monday — A pickup truck driven by James Fitzpatrick, 37, of Butler struck a barrier on Route 422 in Summit Township.2:50 a.m. Saturday — Brian C. Kelly, 22, of Slippery Rock was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his car crashed into a utility pole at Harmony Road and West Prairie Street Extension in Mercer Township.
6:15 a.m. Monday — Three people were hurt, one seriously, in a two-vehicle wreck on Route 36 in Washington Township, Clarion County.The crash happened when Samuel M. Prenatt, 22, of Titusville lost control of his car and crossed into the path of a minivan driven by Jack Zimmerly, 61, of DuBois.Timothy A. Rainey, 24, of Titusville, a passenger in the car, was taken to Clarion Hospital with injuries that police described as “major.” Zimmerly and Prenatt suffered moderate and minor injuries, respectively.Police said Prenatt was cited for driving too fast for conditions.
4:30 p.m. March 9 — Stephen Craig, 44, of Baden, Beaver County, was caught allegedly shoplifting a pair of UGG brand boots from the Shoe Doctor store at Premium Outlets in Springfield Township. Police said Craig fled the store with his toddler granddaughter.A repeat shoplifter with four prior arrests for the crime, Craig faces charges of felony retail theft and corruption of minors.
