Maura Patton and Ashley Fox collected three hits each Saturday as Karns City’s softball team defeated Jamestown, 7-3, at Diehl Stadium.
Both had two RBI as well. Fox homered and Patton doubled. Zoe King and Megan Whitmire contributed two singles each as the Gremlins banged out 14 hits.
Patton, the third of three Karns City pitchers, got the win in relief. She struck out two over the final three innings. The Gremlins snapped a 2-2 tie by scoring five runs in the fifth inning.

Armstrong 13, Knoch 3 — The Knights were limited to three hits. Sennett Purcell had a single and two RBI while Lindsay Edwards had a single and RBI.
Armstrong had 12 hits, breaking the game open with a seven-run fourth inning.
Girls Lacrosse
Evelynn Vissari scored seven goals Saturday as Butler pulled away from Penn-Trafford, 19-3. Alana Collins added three goals for the Golden Tornado.
Mackenzie Gilliland, Bree Dittman, Sydney Spack and Vanessa Drohan all scored two goals for Butler with Khloe Huba adding one.
