“Mindhunter,” a Netflix original series, is seeking background actors to shoot scenes in Butler on Sept. 10.

According to casting director Jennifer Nash, the show needs people to play lawyers, stenographers, secretaries, townsfolk, pedestrians, police officers, sheriffs, detectives and possibly FBI agents. All must be 18 and older.

Those interested can send photos and their name, phone number and sizes to mhc.pittsburgh@gmail.com. The casting team will review each e-mail and attempt to put people in a scene which best suits them.

Background actors will be paid $64 per eight hours, as well as time and a half for overtime. Actors will receive an additional $14.50 to come to 333 33rd St. in the Strip District in Pittsburgh for a quick costume fitting to be outfitted in authentic 1970s apparel.

“Mindhunter” also needs cars from 1960 to 1980. Owners earn $175 per 12 hours for period cars parked in a shot. Car owners who drive their cars in a scene will earn $175 for their car and $64 for background work.
