Warren Peffer
Warren Peffer, 75, of Perry Township passed away Friday following a long battle with cancer.
Born March 6, 1942, in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late Marion and Thelma Rupert Peffer.
He was married for 48 years to Nancy M. Peffer, who passed away Nov. 21, 2016.
Warren retired from BNZ Materials in Zelienople, where he was a machine operator. He was an active member and longtime Sunday school teacher at the Wurtemburg United Methodist Church. Before that, he attended the Zion Lutheran Church.
A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, Warren served from 1960 to 1964. He enjoyed teaching, building and flying model aircraft. He undertook various leadership roles as a lifetime member of the Butler Aircraft Modelers Society (BAMS).
Survivors include three sons, Steven (Lori) Peffer of Nashville, Tenn., David (Karen) Peffer of Dublin, Ohio, and Kevin (Melanie) Peffer of Greeley, Colo.; two sisters, Velma Hollerman and Diane Young; seven brothers, Glenn, Larry, Tom, Neil, Bob, Dale and Chuck; and two grandchildren, Joshua and Addison Peffer, and a third grandchild due in August.
He was preceded in death by a son in infancy, Paul Martin Peffer; and two sisters, Laura Ridenour and Bonnie Nicodemus.
PEFFER — Visiting hours for Warren Peffer, who died Friday, June 9, 2017, will be held 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Marshall Funeral Home, 200 Fountain Ave., Ellwood City.A viewing will take place at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Wurtemburg United Methodist Church, followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m., with the Rev.
